Girls Basketball Roundup: McLaughlin’s Triple Double Helps Lift Regina Past West Liberty

Class 2A No. 12 Regina snapped a two-game losing streak with a 57-35 win over West Liberty on Tuesday in a River Valley Conference South Division contest at Xtream Arena in Coralville.
Regina improved to 8-3 on the season and 3-1 in RVC South Division play while West Liberty dropped to 1-7 and 0-4 in RVC South games.
Addie McLaughlin had her second triple-double of the season to lead Regina posting 26 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists to go with four steals.
Adalee Klein had 13 points and eight rebounds for Regina and Jada Wiltz had seven points and four rebounds for the Regals.
Maggie Sueppel added three points and 13 rebounds and Mel Kirk had three points and four rebounds.
Nora Wade had five points, two rebounds and two steals.
