Girls Basketball Roundup: Strong Second Half Propels City High Past Sixth-ranked Cedar Rapids Prairie

City High used a huge second half to continue its strong start to the new year on Tuesday.
Class 5A No. 11 City High scored 43 second-half points and rolled to a 65-39 win over 5A sixth-ranked Cedar Rapids Prairie at City High.
The win was the third in a row over a ranked opponent for City High and comes after the Little Hawks defeated 4A top-ranked Dallas Center-Grimes on Saturday.
City High improved to 9-2 on the season with the win while Cedar Rapids Prairie dropped to 5-4.
Tessa Driscoll led City High with 16 points while sophomore Eve Vitense added 12 for the Little Hawks.
Kaitlin Loria and Thisbe Lewis each had eight points and Hattie Galloway added six as 10 different Little Hawks scored.
KeaOnna Worley had a game-high 18 points to lead Cedar Rapids Prairie and Brynlie Hadenfeldt had 12 points for the Hawks.
