Clear Creek Amana Senior Lower Commits to Arizona State

One of the best players in the state of Iowa has made a decision on her hoops future.
Clear Creek Amana senior guard Averie Lower announced her commitment to Arizona State on Monday with a post on social media.
“Go Sun Devils,” Lower wrote on her commitment post on X.
Lower is coming off a monster junior season in which she earned first team Class 4A all-state honors and was named WAMAC West Division player of the year for the second consecutive season.
The 6-foot Lower ranked seventh in the state in scoring at 22.5 points per game as a junior while helping Clear Creek Amana to a 15-8 record and a spot in a Class 4A regional title game.
Lower scored in double figures in all 23 games and had 20 or more points 16 times last season including a pair of 30-point outings.
Among the top shooters in the state, Lower shot 48 percent from the floor, including 42 percent from 3-point range and 85 percent from the free throw line as a junior.
Lower also averaged 9.3 rebounds, 3 assists, 2.9 steals and .9 blocked shots per game as a junior.
A three-year starter, Lower has helped Clear Creek Amana 59-13 record over the past three seasons and a 4A state title in 2024.
Lower is a career 44 percent 3-point shooter and has already amassed 1,236 career points.
A two-sport standout, Lower is also an all-state volleyball player with more than 900 career kills and 1,000 career digs.
Arizona State was 10-22 last season and 3-15 in Big 12 Conference play.
