State Tournament Qualifiers Headline Your Prep Sports Area Selections on IPSWA Girls Basketball All-State Teams

Averie Lower and Lena Evans led Clear Creek Amana to the state tournament last week.
West High senior Grace Fincham and Regina sophomore Addie McLaughlin helped their squads to state tournament berths as well.
On Tuesday all four of those players were honored for their role in that teams succeed as they were named to the Iowa Print Sports Writers Association all-state teams.
Lower, Evans, Fincham and McLaughlin highlighted a list of eight Your Prep Sports players to earn all-state honors from the IPSWA.
Liberty High senior Natalie Ramsey, City High senior Tessa Driscoll and Solon’s Ellie Durr and Tenley Levin each earned all-state honors.
Lower, Ramsey and McLaughlin were all first team picks in their respective classes.
An Arizona State recruit, Lower was named to the Class 4A first team following an impressive senior season in which she ranked in the top 10 in 4A in scoring, rebounding and 3-pointers per game.
Lower averaged 24 points, 9.9 rebounds, 3.3 steals, 2.8 assists and 1.1 blocks per game while shooting 54 percent from the field including 43 percent from the 3-point line while leading the Clippers to a 20-3 record and a spot in the 4A quarterfinals.
The 6-foot Lower ranked fifth in 4A in scoring, seventh in rebounding and led 4A with 4.1 made 3-pointers per game.
Evans was named to the 4A second team after averaging 17.6 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.2 steals and 3.3 assists per game.
McLaughlin was named to the Class 2A first team after leading Regina to a 19-6 record and a second consecutive Class 2A state tournament appearance.
The 5-foot-5 McLaughlin ranked fourth in Class 2A in scoring at 22.1 points per game and led 2A with 6.2 assists per game while shooting 47 percent from the floor, 35 percent from 3-point range and 72 percent from the free throw line.
McLaughlin also averaged 6.2 rebounds and 4.7 steals per game.
Fincham was named to the Class 5A second team after helping West High to a 17-8 record and a spot in the 5A state tournament.
A Drake recruit, Fincham averaged 19.1 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.1 steals per game.
Ramsey earned first-team all-state honors for the second consecutive season in Class 5A.
A South Dakota recruit, Ramsey averaged 21.6 points and 10.8 rebounds per game while shooting 46 percent from the floor, including 34 percent from the 3-point line, and 84 percent from the free throw line.
Ramsey also averaged 1.8 assists, 1.5 steals and .5 blocked shots per game.
Driscoll was a third-team selection in Class 5A after helping City High to a 17-7 record and a spot in a Class 5A regional final.
A St. Thomas recruit, Driscoll averaged a team-high 12.7 points per game to go with 5.1 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.4 steals per contest.
Levin was a second-team selection in Class 4A and Durr was a third-team pick in Class 4A after helping Solon to a 15-8 record and a spot in 4A regional title game.
A senior guard, Durr averaged 15.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 2.8 steals per game for the Spartans.
Levin, a freshman guard, led the Spartans with 18.5 points and 8.6 rebounds per game on her way to all-state honors.
