Senior Kobi Lietz led three Solon players in double figures with 17 points as the Spartans downed Independence 64-37 in a WAMAC East Division contest on Friday in Solon.

Solon improved to 10-10 on the season and 4-6 in WAMAC East Division play while Independence dropped to 7-12 on the season and 0-9 in WAMAC East play.

Lietz had a game-high 17 points while Laney Johnson made five 3-pointers and finished with 15 points.

Jerzey Haluska had 10 points and Beckett Kruse added nine points for Solon.

Devin Ludwig led Independence with 11 points and Jaeda Rupprecht added nine points for the Mustangs.
