Class 4A No. 11 Liberty High continued its strong start to championship season on Thursday with a runner-up finish at the Mississippi Valley Conference Mississippi Divisional Meet at the Dubuque Soccer Complex.

Freshman Keegan Decker finished third overall to lead four Liberty High runners in the top 12 as the Lightning finished runner-up to third-ranked Cedar Falls with 53 points.

Class 4A No. 16 Cedar Rapids Prairie was third with 71 points and No. 18 Dubuque Senior was fourth with 87 points.

Keegan Decker was third in a time of 15:57.8 while senior Aidan Decker finished sixth in 16:08.5.

Juniors Noah Gregoire and Jacob Madsen added top-12 finishes for the Lightning.

Gregoire was seventh in 16:13.6 and Madsen was 12^th in 16:33.5
