Volleyball Roundup: Liberty High Clinches MVC Title With Sweep of CR Prairie

Class 5A top-ranked Liberty High clinched the Mississippi Valley Conference Mississippi Division title on Tuesday with a sweep of No. 12 Cedar Rapids Prairie in Cedar Rapids.
Liberty High pushed its winning streak to 14 in a row and improved to 23-3 on the season and a perfect 6-0 in MVC play with the 25-9, 25-15, 25-19 win over the Hawks.
Cedar Rapids Prairie dropped to 10-10 on the season and 2-4 in MVC play with the loss.
Cassidy Hartman led Liberty High with 14 kills and 10 digs while Shelby Kimm added nine kills, eight digs and two ace serves.
Sam Harvey had six kills and five blocks while Lilah VanScoyoc and Sydney Stratton each had four kills and Asta Hildebrand had three kills.
Mariah Rollins had 17 assists and six digs and Hildebrand had 13 assists, 16 digs and two ace serves.
Gabbie Schroeder had 16 digs and Carlie Schroeder had two ace serves for the Lightning.
