Liberty High collected its second sweep in as many days taking a pair from Waterloo East on Wednesday in a Mississippi Valley Conference doubleheader in North Liberty.

Class 5A No. 8 Liberty High won the opener 9-0 and took the nightcap 11-1 in five innings while improving to 16-5 on the season and 13-2 in MVC play.

Waterloo East dropped to 6-15 and 3-13 in conference play.

Kinsley Robertson tossed a complete game six-hitter in the opener, striking out 12 without allowing a walk.

Robertson also had two hits and drove in two runs in the game one win.

Eva Stewart had a hit and drove in two runs, while Haileigh Smith, Kennedy Daugherty and Ashlyn Geasland all had hits and scored two runs.

Haley Schroeder and Daugherty each had RBIs in the win.

Daugherty earned the win in game two allowing one run on three hits in five innings and also went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI.

Olivia Davenport doubled and scored a run and Schroeder was 2-for-3 with two RBI and two runs scored.

Robertson had three hits and scored a run while Smith and Brynlee Slockett each had a hit and two RBI.
