Boys Tennis Roundup: Liberty High Knocks Off City High in Cross-town Matchup

Liberty High picked up its second win of the season and second in the two-year history of the program with a 6-3 victory over City High on Thursday in a Mississippi Valley Conference match in North Liberty.
The Lightning won the final two doubles matches of the evening to secure the win after taking a 4-2 lead following singles.
Ryan Bys, Paarin Rastogi, Jacob Mascardo and Cooper Davenport all earned singles wins for the Lightning with the doubles tandem of Davenport and Carter Leike securing a 6-4, 7-5 win at number three doubles to lock up the win.
Liberty High improve to 2-4 on the season with the win.
City High (2-7) got singles victories from Sam Motto and Doak Allgood and the doubles tandem of Mal Nye and Owen Vandlinden.
