One of the top two-way linemen in the state has settled on a football future.
Solon junior all-stater Lucas Feuerbach announced his commitment to South Dakota on Thursday with a post on social media.
“Committed,” Feuerbach wrote on his post on X on Thursday.
The 6-foot-2, 260-pound Feuerbach has starred on both sides of the ball while helping Solon to 19-4 record the past two seasons.
Feuerbach has earned all-state honors each of the past two seasons, once as an offensive lineman and once as a defensive lineman.
Last season Feuerbach was a first-team Class 3A all-state selection as a defensive lineman after ranking third on the team with 53 tackles including 12 for loss and four sacks.
As an offensive lineman Feuerbach helped Solon to an 11-1 record paving the way for a Spartan offense that averaged 38.1 points and 310 total yards per game.
As a sophomore in 2024 Feuerbach had 28.5 tackles with five tackles for loss and a sack.
South Dakota is coming off a 10-5 season that included a trip to the FCS quarterfinals.
