City High jumped into the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union volleyball rankings and Solon and Regina both moved up in the most recent rankings released on Thursday.

Following a 6-1 start to the season City High made its debut in the second set of IGHSAU rankings appearing at No. 15 in Class 5A.

West High (4-1) dropped from second to fifth in the 5A rankings while Liberty High (4-2) slipped three spots to No. 10 in the most recent rankings.

Solon (5-0) jumped 10 spots from 14th to fourth in the Class 3A rankings following an unbeaten start to the season while Clear Creek Amana (5-1) remained fifth in the Class 4A rankings.

Regina (6-1) moved up two spots to eighth in the Class 2A rankings.

Top-ranked teams in the second rankings of the season were Waukee Northwest in Class 5A, Sioux Center in Class 4A, Humboldt in Class 3A, Grundy Center in Class 2A and Ankeny Christian in Class 1A.
