On Tuesday Clear Creek Amana secured its spot at the Class 4A state tournament with a regional final win over Cedar Rapids Xavier.

Wednesday the Clippers began to collect the individual accolades for their team success.

Clear Creek Amana had six players earn WAMAC all-division honors when the league released its postseason honors.

Senior Kyle Schulte and eighth-grader Kynlee McElvain were both unanimous first team selections for the Clippers in the WAMAC West Division.

Seniors Lizzie Pasbrig and Elizabeth Timmerman were both named to the West Division second team while senior Brenna Williams and junior Carley Nash earned honorable mention honors for the Clippers.

Schulte had one of the best season in the state this summer batting .509 while tying for the state lead in both home runs (23) and RBI (74).

The senior outfield scored a team-high 60 runs, had 39 extra-base hits and drew 29 walks while posting a .618 on-base percentage and a 1.924 OPS.

McElvain was a unanimous first-team all-WAMAC West selection after an impressive debut season in which she posted a 14-4 record and a 1.65 ERA.

The right-hander held opponents to a .162 batting average and struck out 120 in a team-high 106 1/3 innings.

Timmerman was a second team pick in the West Division after posting a 12-4 record with a 2.73 ERA in 84 2/3 innings while also batting .385 with 13 extra-base hits, 26 RBI and 26 runs scored.

Pasbrig earned second team all-West Division honors after hitting .367 with 13 extra-base hits, 33 RBI and 23 runs scored.

Solon had four players named to the East Division squads highlighted by sophomore shortstop Liv Nelson who was a unanimous first team pick.

Nelson batted .304 and led Solon in both hits (35), doubles (12) and runs (31) while posting a .374 on-base percentage and .861 OPS while driving in 21 runs.

Eighth-grader Ashtyn Swancutt was named to the East Division second team after hitting .333 with 20 runs scored and nine RBI.

Sophomore Beckitt Kabela and senior Dillon Ostrander were both honorable mention selections for the Spartans.
