CCA Senior Lee Finishes 11th; Solon is 10th at Class 3A State Golf Meet

Solon finished 10th at the Class 3A state golf meet on Friday at Pheasant Ridge Golf Course in Cedar Falls.
The Spartans shot a 355 on Friday on the second day of the two-day event, which was nine strokes better than the 364 the Spartans carded in Thursday’s opening round.
Solon finished with a 36-hole total of 719.
Dubuque Wahlert shot a 306 on Friday and won the team title with a 622, four strokes better than runner-up Gilbert.
Cedar Rapids Xavier was third with a 641.
Clear Creek Amana senior Brooklyn Lee shot an 80 on Friday and finished 11th overall with a 36-hole total of 158.
Gilbert’s Ava Lohrbach followed up an opening round 66 with a 71 on Friday and won the individual title by six strokes with a two-day score of 137.
Elin Mueller of Dubuque Wahlert was runner-up with a 142 and Halle Sobaski of Benton Community was third with a 147.
Solon was led by Macy Fuller with a 178 while Emma Phelps shot a team-best 86 on Friday to finish with a 36-hole score of 179.
Lyla Hahn shot a 183 over the two days while Jaya Farlinger finished with a 186.
Addie Singsank and Taylor Jett each shot 191 for the Spartans.
