Regina secured a spot at the Class 2A state golf tournament on Tuesday by finishing runner-up at the 2A District 2 meet at Heritage Oaks Golf and Country Club in Wapello.

The Regals had a pair of golfers finish in the top 10 and shot a 325 as a team to finish three strokes behind team champion Central Lee.

Daniel Clark and Wyatt Kaeding each shot a 78 to finish seventh and eighth respectively for Regina.

Brendan Baker shot an 82 to place 17^th overall while Luke Klingeman shot an 87 for the Regals.

The Class 2A state golf tournament is scheduled for May 26-27 at South Hills Golf Course in Waterloo.

West Branch finished fifth as a team with a 331 and was led by individual qualifier McGavin Smith who placed fifth with a 77.
