Regina All-Stater Wallace Commits to Minnesota

One of the top football players in the state has locked in his future.
Regina two-way standout Tate Wallace announced his commitment to Minnesota on Sunday selecting the Gophers over impressive lift of offers.
The second-ranked player in Iowa by 247Sports, Wallace chose Minnesota after claiming offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Kansas State, Nebraska, Tennessee, Notre Dame, Wisconsin and others.
A two-way standout for Regina, Wallce is a four-star prospect that is projected as a linebacker at the next level.
The 6-3, 235-pound Wallace earned first team Class 1A all-state honors last season after starring on both sides of the ball while helping Regina to a 12-1 record and a state runner-up finish.
Wallace led Regina with 40 receptions, 611 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns as a tight end.
On defense Wallace ranked second on the team with 49.5 tackles and led the Regals with 18 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks.
Over the past three seasons Wallace has caught 126 passes for 1,793 yards and 21 touchdowns and racked up 99.5 tackles with 23.5 tackles for loss and 10.5 sacks.
A four-sport standout, Wallace earned all-state honors in basketball last winter after leading Regina with 16.2 points per game and ranking third on the team with 5.6 rebounds per game while helping the Regals to a state semifinal appearance.
Wallace is also a starter on the baseball team and currently ranks eighth in Class 2A in the shot put this spring with a mark of 53-5.
