Regina Third in Initial IHSAA Class 1A Football Rankings

Regina was third in Class 1A in the first edition of the Iowa High School Athletic Association football rankings that were released on Monday afternoon.
The rankings for Class 2A, 1A, A and eight-player are determined throughout the 2025 regular season by official rankings committees for each class.
Regina (5-0) is third in Class 1A behind a pair of defending state champions.
Last year’s Class 2A state champion West Lyon (5-0) is atop the Class 1A rankings and three-time defending state champion Grundy Center (5-0), winner of the last two 1A titles, is ranked second.
South Hardin (5-0) and Treynor (4-1) round out the Class 1A top five.
Other top-ranked teams in the first rankings of the season are Carroll Kuemper (5-0) in Class 2A, MMCRU in Class A and Algona Garrigan in 8-player.
