Girls Basketball Roundup: City High Rolls Past Cedar Rapids Jefferson in Regional Semifinal

Class 5A ninth-ranked City High opened postseason player with a dominant 75-37 win over Cedar Rapids Jefferson in a Class 4A, Region 8 semifinal in Iowa City.
City High improved to 16-7 on the season and will face eighth-ranked Liberty High (16-6) in the Region 8 title game on Tuesday at Liberty High.
Kaitlin Loria had a game-high 16 points to lead four City High players in double figures.
Hattie Galloway and Maybes Miller each had 11 points and August Palmer had 10 for the Little Hawks.
Nine players scored for City High as Maeve Obermueller had seven points and Emmy McComas and Tessa Driscoll each had six for City High.
Ava Erger had 13 points and Angie Troh had 10 points to lead Cedar Rapids Jefferson which finished the season 8-14.
