City High had three runners finish in the top 30 and finished fifth at the Spartan Invitational on Saturday at Crow Creek Park in Bettendorf.

Class 4A top-ranked Pleasant Valley won the team title with 26 points while 4A third-ranked Johnson was runner-up with 69 points.

Naperville North (Illinois) was third with 98, 4A eighth-ranked Dubuque Senior was fourth with 110 and 4A No. 10 City High was fifth with 138.

Abigail Burns finished 14^th in 19:25 for City High while Nicole Peterson was 21^st in 19:45 and Grace Hamann was 26^th in 19:54.

Nina Peterson was 31^st in 20:11 and Madeline Fischer was 46^th in 20:50.

Class 4A No. 17 West High finished 10^th with 295 points.

Kate Van Waning was 35^th in a time of 20:28 to lead West High while Susanna Olson was 57^th in 21:35 and Kalli Titus was 61^st in 21:46.
