Girls Basketball Roundup: Top-ranked Clear Creek Amana Rolls Past No. 8 Benton Community

In its first game as the new top-ranked team in Class 4A Clear Creek Amana performed like a number one team.
Class 4A No. 1 Clear Creek Amana bolted to a 44-20 lead and rolled to a 60-37 win over Class 3A eighth-ranked Benton Community on Friday in a WAMAC West Division matchup in Van Horne.
Clear Creek Amana improved to 15-0 on the season and completed a season sweep of the Bobcats after winning 67-42 on December 19 in Tiffin.
Benton Community dropped to 11-6 with the loss.
Averie Lower had a game-high 20 points to lead three Clear Creek Amana players in double figures.
Bliss Beck and Ava Locklear each had 10 points for the Clippers while Kaylee Stratton had nine points and Lena Evans added five.
Emma Townsley had 10 points and Zoey Junge had nine for Benton Community.
