Solon, Clear Creek Amana and Regina all held their spots in the most recent girls basketball rankings released on Thursday by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union.

Clear Creek Amana (4-0) remained second in the Class 4A rankings, trailing only top-ranked Dallas Center-Grimes in 4A in the third rankings of the season.

Solon (5-0) holds the top spot in Class 3A for the second week in a row after overtaking Estherville Lincoln Central for the top spot last week.

The Spartans headline a 3A top five that also features Mount Vernon (4-0), Des Moines Christian (5-1), Estherville Lincoln Central (4-1) and Benton Community (3-1).

Regina (3-1) remains fourth in the Class 2A rankings trailing top-ranked and three-time defending champion Dike-New Hartford (4-1), Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont (5-0) and Panorama (4-0).

Other top-ranked teams in the third rankings of the season are Johnston in Class 5A  and North Linn in Class 1A.
