Boys Cross Country Roundup: West High, Tiea Win Titles at Home Invitational

West High had four runners in the top five and cruised to the team title at its own West High Invitational on Tuesday at Ashton Cross Country Course in Iowa City.
Moustafa Tiea won the individual title in a time of 16:35.3 to headline a group of five Trojans that finished in the top six as Class 4A No. 17 West High won the title with 17 points.
Class 1A seventh-ranked Regina was runner-up with 61 points followed by Muscatine with 75 points, Cedar Rapids Washington with 130 and Bettendorf with 141.
Michael Lee finished runner-up to Tiea in a time of 17:37.8 while Brice Wahe placed third for West High in a time of 17:40.8.
Praneel Rastogi was fifth in 17:58.2 and Sam Showers was sixth in 18:00.1 for the Trojans.
Regina was led by Samuel Welter who finished fourth in a time of 17:52.2 and Ambrose Nuxoll who was eighth in 18:04.8.
Howie O’Rourke placed 15th in 18:40.8, Evan White was 16th in 18:42.4 and Riordan Smith was 18th in 18:50.1 for the Regals.
