A big day from Da’Shon Fisher helped Liberty High to a third-place team finish at the Mississippi Valley Conference Mississippi Division meet on Thursday at Kingston Stadium in Cedar Rapids.

Fisher posted four top-five finishes to help Liberty High rack up 115 points.

Cedar Rapids Prairie won the team title with 180 while Cedar Falls was runner-up with 171 points.

Aidan Decker won the 3,200 in a time of 9:55.97 and added a fifth-place finish in the 1,600 to go with a big day from Fisher.

Fisher won the long jump with a leap of 20-5 ¾ and cleared 6-3 to finish runner-up in the high jump.

The senior also was fourth in the 100 and fifth in the 200 for the Lightning.

Liberty High finished runner-up in the distance medley relay with Decker on the 800-meter anchor leg and Cael Schramm added a third-place finish in the discus.
