Girls Soccer Roundup: Clear Creek Amana Completes Unbeaten WAMAC Slate With Win Over Solon

In a season already filled with program firsts Clear Creek Amana added yet another on Tuesday evening.
The Clippers completed the first unbeaten conference schedule in program history with a 4-1 win over Class 1A No. 15 Solon (10-5) in a WAMAC Conference cross-divisional matchup on a soggy evening at Spartan Stadium.
Class 2A fifth-ranked Clear Creek Amana improved to 14-2 on the season with the win and capped a perfect 12-0 WAMAC Conference slate.
Lauren Riggle scored a pair of goals and Peyton Grafft and Ellen Austin each added a goal as the Clippers won their first consecutive match over Solon.
Eva Plathe led a Clear Creek Amana defensive effort that limited Solon to just one shot on goal which resulted in the Spartans only score from freshman Gabby Knipper.
Clear Creek Amana opens postseason play on June 2 against the winner of Oskaloosa and Fairfield.
Solon travels to Tipton on Thursday and hosts Regina on Friday before opening postseason play on May 26.
