Clear Creek Amana won a pair of relay titles and secured three automatic bids to the state track and field meet on Thursday at the Class 3A state qualifying meet in Mount Pleasant.

The Clippers won the 4×800 and shuttle hurdle relays and finished runner-up in the distance medley relay on its way to a fourth-place team finish with 102 points.

Davenport Assumption won the team title with 136 points while Fairfield was runner-up with 119 and Mount Pleasant was third with 115.

Clear Creek Amana won the shuttle hurdle relay as the team of Emma Mathis, Cileigh Smiddy, Kayla Jiras and Silvana Kabolo clocked a season-best time of 1:05.93.

The time of 1:05.93 was more than a second faster than the previous season-best time of 1:07.47 for the Clipper foursome an was nearly two seconds faster than runner-up Fairfield which entered with the third fastest time in 3A this season.

Clear Creek Amana added a title in the 4×800 as Kiera Rogers, Haidyn Barker, Avery Allan and Sam Schrage took nearly six seconds off their previous season-best time while winning in 10:11.22.

The foursome of Kabolo, Bailey Olerich, Rogers and Barker was runner-up in the distance medley relay in 4:25.14.
