Liberty High will race for the most coveted pieces of hardware in the sport on Friday at the state cross country meet on Fort Dodge.

A few days before the state meet Liberty High saw six runners pick up postseason prizes when the Mississippi Valley Conference presented its postseason honors.

Junior Christian Montover earned first-team all-Mississippi Division honors to headline six Liberty High runners honored by the conference.

Senior Caleb Schillinger earned second-team honors in the Mississippi Division while seniors Bowen Gryp and Jack Kinzer, junior Gavin Keeney and freshman Aidan Decker were all honorable mention selections.

City High sophomore Truman Thompson earned second-team honors in the Mississippi Division.

West High had six runners earn all-division recognition led by junior Caden Noeller who was a first-team honoree in the Valley Division.

Sophomore Seth Cheney and senior Mohan Kumar were both second-team honorees while seniors Tosh Klever, Drew Peterson and Sebastian Cochran all earned honorable mention status.
