Boys Basketball Roundup: Turner Scores 35 to Lead City High to Win at Waterloo East

Antonio Turner poured in a career-high 35 points as City High held on for an 85-81 win over Waterloo East on Friday night in Waterloo.
City High led 42-27 at the half and Turner made 12 second-half three throws as the Little Hawks survived a 54-point second half from Waterloo East 8-9, 4-9 MVC).
Keshawn Christian had 23 points and Ry Threlkeld-Weigand scored all 11 of his points after halftime as City High improved to 5-12 on the season and 3-9 in Mississippi Valley Conference play.

Darius Moore had a double-double with 28 points and 11 rebounds but it wasn’t enough as Clear Creek Amana fell to Independence 81-68 in a WAMAC West contest in Independence.
Nolan Schwarting had 12 points and Jordan Wolfe added 10 for Clear Creek Amana as the Clippers had a two-game winning streak halted.
Clear Creek Amana dropped to 6-11 on the season and 6-7 in WAMAC West play while Independence improved to 12-7 and 9-5 in WAMAC play.
