A strong first four minutes turned into a fourth straight win for Regina.
Class 2A sixth-ranked Regina jumped to a 13-0 lead in the opening four minutes and rolled to a 59-33 win over 3A No. 13 Monticello in a River Valley Conference cross-divisional matchup in Monticello.
Regina forced 13 first-half Monticello turnovers while taking a 30-17 halftime lead while improving to 5-2 on the season and 5-1 in RVC play with its fourth straight win.
Monticello dropped to 6-2 on the season and 4-2 in RVC play.
Kennedy Wallace made seven 3-pointers on her way to a career-high 25 points and Alex Wiese had 13 points and six rebounds to lead Regina.
Lauren Gaarde had six points and six assists and Greyson Dumont added seven points for Regina.

West Branch Lets Lead Slip Away in Loss to No. 8 Cascade
West Branch let a five-point halftime lead slip away in a 73-68 loss to Class 2A eighth-ranked Cascade on Tuesday in a River Valley cross divisional matchup in West Branch.
Cascade scored 46 second-half points to overcome a 32-27 halftime deficit while running its winning streak to six straight and improving to 7-1 on the season and 6-0 in RVC play.
Tatum Koenig had 27 points, four rebounds and four assists but it wasn’t enough as West Branch dropped to 3-3 on the season and 2-3 in conference play.
Sasha Koenig had 19 points, three rebounds and three assists while Taya Young had nine points and two steals.
Kaiya Luneckas had 10 rebounds for West Branch.
