Your Prep Sports Area Alumni Report: Clear Creek Amana Grad Locklear Continues Big Season at NJIT

The Your Prep Sports Alumni Report is a weekly segment that recognizes the accomplishments of graduates from YPS area schools that are continuing their careers as student athletes at the collegiate level. Alumni News is a way for readers to keep tabs on former area standouts.
Ava Locklear
Former Clear Creek Amana standout and current New Jersey Institute of Technology sophomore Ava Locklear posted her sixth double-double of the season last week in a 68-57 win over UMass Lowell.
Locklear had 16 points and 13 rebounds in the win over UMass Lowell on Thursday and added four steals and a blocked shot.
In her first season at NJIT Locklear has started 15 games and ranks fourth on the team in scoring at 9.3 points per game, leads the team with 8.3 rebounds per game and ranks second on the team with 14 blocked shots.
The 5-foot-11 Locklear is shooting 48 percent from the floor including 44 percent from 3-point range while helping the Highlanders to a 13-6 record.
Morgan Miller
Regina graduate and current Truman State freshman guard Morgan Miller had 12 points, nine rebounds and two assists to help the Bulldogs to a 77-63 win over Upper Iowa on Saturday in Fayette.
Miller has started all 17 games for Truman State this season helping the Bulldogs to a 9-8 record.
The 5-foot-7 guard ranks second on the team in scoring at 10.2 points per game while shooting 35 percent from the floor.
Miller is also averaged 3.5 rebounds and leads the team with 2.5 assists per game.
Da’Shon Fisher
Former Liberty High standout and current Trevecca Nazarene University junior Da’Shon Fisher had a season-high 22 points in a 85-68 win over Mississippi College on January 10.
The 6-foot-3 Fisher has started three games this season and is averaging 10 points and 2.1 rebounds per game while shooting 53 percent from the field and 30 percent from 3-point range.
Fisher has scored in double figures in eight games this season including each of his last four games while helping the Trojans to 12-5 record.
