Girls Cross Country Roundup: Hodge Helps West High to Third-place Finish at MVC Divisional Meet

Adrienne Hodge finished fourth to lead West High to a third-place team finish at the Mississippi Valley Conference Mississippi Divisional Meet on Thursday at Western Dubuque High School in Epworth.
Hodge placed fourth overall to highlight three West High runners in the top 20 as the Trojans finished third with 89 points.
Dubuque Senior won the team title with 40 points and Linn-Mar was runner-up with 54 points.
Cedar Rapids Xavier finished fourth with 103 points and Liberty High placed fifth with 107 points.
Hodge finished fourth in a time of 19:55.9 while Liberty High junior Chelsea VeDepo placed fifth in 19:57.1.
West High had three runners in the top 20 as Ava Twait finished 13th in 20:37.5 and Ellie DeWaard placed 18th in a time of 20:58.5.
Carly Moreau finished 27th in 21:50.7 and Susanna Olson finished 29th in 22:01.7 for West High.
VeDepo led West High and Aleah Williams finished 14th in a time of 20:41.9.
Ayla Trolliet placed 25th in 21:43.9 and Nora Brown was 32nd in a time of 22:17.4 for the Lightning.
