Following wins over ranked opponents on Tuesday Regina and West High each moved up one spot in the most recent volleyball rankings released on Wednesday by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union.

The Regals climbed one spot to eighth in the most recent Class 2A rankings following a win at Class 3A seventh-ranked Mid-Prairie on Tuesday.

Regina (19-11) has won seven of its last eight games with wins over ranked teams Marion, Sumner-Fredericksburg and Mid-Prairie during that stretch.

West High (18-4) moved up one spot to eighth in the latest Class 5A rankings after a five-set win over Liberty High on Tuesday.

Liberty High (17-6) switched spots with the Trojans, slipping to ninth in the 5A rankings.

Clear Creek Amana (32-2) remained atop the Class 4A rankings.

The Clippers lead Sioux Center, Pella, Dallas Center-Grimes and Norwalk in the Class 4A top five.

Solon (22-7) slipped one spot to eighth in the Class 4A rankings.

Other top-ranked teams this week include Waukee Northwest in Class 5A, Western Christian in Class 3A, Denver in Class 2A and Saint Ansgar in Class 1A.
