West Branch Bounces Back With Big Win Over Camanche

After a road loss at rival Regina last week West Branch didn’t waste any time bouncing back.
West Branch rushed for 322 yards and rolled up 468 yards of total offense in a 56-7 win over Camanche on Friday in the non-district finale for both teams at the Little Rose Bowl in West Branch.
Keaton Gates ran for 216 yards and three touchdowns and Cooper Gates rushed for 62 yards and two touchdowns as West Branch improved to 2-1 on the season.
Brennen Dale completed 6-of-13 passes for 121 yards and a touchdown and Reese Gingerich threw a 25-yard touchdown pass for West Branch.
Brandon Pedersen caught two passes for 87 yards and a touchdown and Nolan Staker had two receptions for 37 yards and a touchdown.
Dale, Gingerich and Seth Hosier all had interceptions to lead the West Branch defense while Cooper Gates and Garrett Tisinger each had sacks for the Bears.
Conner Capper had a team-high 5.5 tackles for loss including one for loss and Spencer Green and Cooper Gates each had three stops.
West Branch opens district play next Friday by hosting Monticello.
Camanche dropped to 1-2 on the season with the loss.
