Clear Creek Amana finished sixth in a loaded field at the Gilbert Cross Country Invite on Thursday at the Iowa State Cross Country Course in Ames.

Class 3A top-ranked Gilbert won the team title with 35 points followed by second-ranked Pella with 73 and seventh-ranked Des Moines Christian with 103.

Ninth-ranked Sioux Center was fourth with 126 followed by sixth-ranked ADM with 130 and tenth-ranked Clear Creek Amana with 156 points.

Class 3A No. 18 Solon finished 11^th with 297 points.

Carson Meskimen and Nic Schieltz each posted top-15 individual finishes to lead the Clippers.

Meskimen was ninth in a time of 16:12.05 and Schieltz finished 15^th in 16:31.64.

Caleb Ten Pas of Des Moines Christian won the individual title in 14:40.96.

Jackson VanHorn placed 30^th in a time of 17:10.55, Mason Miller was 39^th in 17:27.45 and Caden Burkle finished 63^rd in 17:57.29 for the Clippers.

Sophomores Anders Holmes, Deacon Waddell and Preston Raasch led Solon all posting top-50 finishes.

Holmes was 26^th in a time of 17:00.49, Waddell finished 43^rd in 17:29.5 and Raasch finised 50^th in 17:35.65.
