City High held its spot in the most recent Class 4A girls cross country rankings released on Monday by the Iowa Association of Track Coaches.

City High remained fifth in the Class 4A rankings trailing top-ranked Pleasant Valley, Johnston, Waukee Northwest and Ankeny Centennial.

West High dropped one spot to No. 14 in the Class 4A rankings while Liberty High slipped two spots to No. 19 in Class 4A.

Solon dropped one spot to sixth in the Class 3A rankings behind fifth-ranked Winterset.

Other top-ranked teams in the second set of rankings this season are Pella in Class 3A, Mid-Prairie in Class 2A and Martensdale-St. Marys in Class 1A.
