Clear Creek Amana Has Seven Players on WAMAC All-Division Teams, Solon With Six

Clear Creek Amana recorded one of its most successful seasons in the last decade this summer.
The Clippers won 31 games, the most since 2012 and advanced to a Class 4A regional title game.
On Wednesday the Clippers began to rake in the postseason accolades following their impressive season.
Clear Creek Amana had seven players earn all-division honors when the WAMAC Conference released its postseason awards on Wednesday.
Junior outfielder Elizabeth Timmerman was a unanimous selection on the WAMAC West Division first team while McKenna Kelley, Turner Patrick, Kyla Schulte and Addilyn Scheetz were all second team all-WAMAC West Division picks.
Timmerman batted .398 with six extra-base hits, scored 38 runs, drove in 19 runs and led Clear Creek Amana with 29 stolen bases on her way to earning unanimous first-team honors.
The lone senior on the Clipper roster, Kelley earned second team honors as a pitcher after posting a 16-3 record and 2.27 ERA with 53 strikeouts in a team-high 111 innings pitched.
Schulte, a junior second baseman, was a second-team all-West Division pick as an infielder following a season in which she led the Clippers with a .467 batting average, 26 extra-base hits, 15 doubles, 10 home runs, 39 runs scored and 52 RBI.
Patrick debuted on the WAMAC all-division team as an eighth-grader following an impressive first season in which she batted .442 with eight extra-base hits and 27 RBI.
Scheetz was a second-team pick as an outfielder after batting .363 with 23 stolen bases, 24 runs scored and 20 RBI.
Juniors Sadie Hebl and Brenna Williams were each honorable mention selections in the West Division for Clear Creek Amana.
Solon had six players named to the WAMAC East Division teams led by a pair of senior first team selections.
Senior Izzy Frees was a first-team selection as an infielder while Addie Miller was a first team utility pick in the East Division.
Miller batted a team-high .427 for Solon and led the Spartans with 21 extra-base hits, seven home runs and 34 RBI.
Frees batted .377 with 13 extra-base hits, 28 runs scored and 29 RBI.
Sophomores Keegan Kleppe and Laeni Hinkle were each named to the East Divisions second team.
Kleppe earned second team honors as an infielder after batting .387 with a team-high 32 runs, five doubles and 31 RBI.
Hinkle was a second team pick as an outfielder after posting a .355 batting average with eight doubles, 28 runs scored and 22 RBI.
Sophomore Emerson Miller and freshman Liv Nelson were both East Division honorable mention picks for the Spartans.
