City High advanced to the championship match of the Class 3A, Region 3 meet with a 37-33 semifinal win over No. 20 Urbandale but fell to third-ranked Indianola 56-13 in the championship round.

No. 21 City High won eight matches in the semifinal win over Urbandale earning bonus points in five matches.

Jack Litton won by forfeit at 106, Kendall Kurtz had a tech fall at 120 pounds and Chase Williams posted a third-period pin at 126.

Mason Tilley won by fall at 175 and Raphael Etumwa won by tech fall at 215 pounds.

Kane Willey, Marshall Sheldon and Donovan Gipson added wins for City High in the victory over Urbandale.

In the loss to Indianola Litton, Kurtz and Gipson had wins for the Little Hawks.

Seventh-ranked Kurtz pinned No. 11 Sawyer Nelson at 120 pounds and Litton won by major decision at 106 pounds.

Gipson won a 4-3 decision at 138 pounds.
