Class 4A No. 13 Clear Creek Amana downed Independence 65-33 on Friday in a WAMAC Conference cross-divisional matchup in Independence.

Averie Lower had a game-high 24 points and Lena Evans had 20 points as Clear Creek Amana improved to 2-3 on the season.

Independence dropped to 3-2 with its second loss in a row.

Bailey Simpson and Kennedy Stratton each added six points for the Clear Creek Amana.

Libby Preuss led Independence with 12 points.
