Christian Janis
West High graduate and current Sioux Falls sophomore wide receiver had a big game in a 27-21 loss to tenth-ranked Augustana at Kirkeby-Over Stadium in Sioux Falls on Saturday.
Janis caught two passes for 34 yards including a 20-yard touchdown pass on Saturday as the Cougars dropped to 7-3 on the season.
On the season the 6-foot-3, 195-pound Janis has caught 10 passes for 166 yards and a touchdown.
Masen Miller
Regina graduate and current North Dakota State senior guard Masen Miller had a strong opening game in a 96-59 win over Jamestown on Monday.
Miller had 11 points and six rebounds in the win, hitting 4-of-8 field goal attempts including 3-of-5 3-pointers.
Miller had six points and an assist in 33 minutes in a 77-68 loss to Illinois State on Thursday.
Hunter Garvin
Former West High standout and current Stanford sophomore Hunter Garvin went 1-1 in a pair of matches in Iowa over the weekend.
Seventh-ranked Garvin won a 10-3 decision over Connor Euton of Iowa State to help the Cardinal to a 23-21 win over Iowa State on Friday in Ames,
Garvin lost a 17-12 decision to second-ranked Michael Caliendo of Iowa in a 32-9 loss to the Hawkeyes on Saturday in Iowa City.
On the season Garvin is 2-2 helping Stanford to a 3-1 start in dual matches.
