Player to watch: Davenport North senior quarterback Kazimir Rebarcak (6-3, 195) is a Northern Iowa commit and has completed 64 percent of his passes while throwing for 1,484 yards and 13 touchdowns with three interceptions and has also rushed for three touchdowns.
Key stat: Davenport North is the only Class 5A team with five different players with at least 200 receiving yards and a touchdown.
About the Little Hawks: City High has won four straight games following an 0-2 start and has climbed to ninth in the Class 5A RPI ratings.
After averaging 21 points per game in back-to-back losses to Joliet Catholic and Liberty High to open the season the Little Hawks have averaged 46.3 points per game during their four-game winning streak.
Senior quarterback Bobby Bacon (6-2, 175) leads a red-hot City High offense that is averaging 37.8 points and 438 total yards per game while producing 7.7 yards per play.
Bacon has completed 74 percent of his passes while throwing for 1,264 yards and 12 touchdowns with four interceptions and has rushed for 46 yards.
Sophomore Dawson Kahl (6-2, 190) has rushed for 531 yards and 10 touchdowns while averaging 7.2 yards per carry while Dominic Salibi (6-1, 183) has rushed for 354 yards and five touchdowns.
Sophomore Chayse Newton (5-8, 140) has caught 23 passes for 276 yards and two touchdowns and Salibi has 17 receptions for 224 yards and two touchdowns.
Parker Sutherland (6-6, 224) has 17 receptions for 248 yards and four touchdowns and Jack Lampe (6-0, 155) has caught nine passes for 137 yards and a touchdown.
Freshman linebacker Marshall Sheldon (6-0, 173) leads the team with 42.5 tackles including three for loss while junior Blaine Heick (6-2, 180) has 32 tackles with two for loss.
Senior Jalyn Ford (6-0, 252) has 22.5 tackles with seven for loss and two sacks and Raphael Etuma (6-2, 200) has 21.5 tackles with seven for loss and two sacks.
About the Wildcats: Davenport North has lost two of three following a 3-0 start to the season with losses to 5-1 Waterloo West and 4-2 Dubuque Hempstead.
The Wildcats have already doubled their win total from last season and matched their best season since going 4-5 in 2021.
Rebarcak is an excellent quarterback and leads a Davenport North offense that averages 28.3 points per game and has scored at least 21 points in every game.
Davenport North is averaging 327 total yards per game and 6.2 yards per play.
Senior Mason Bogan (5-8, 165) has rushed for 335 yards and three touchdowns and junior Derrick Pena (6-0, 220) has rushed for 126 yards and three touchdowns.
Rebarcak has a balanced group of receivers led by senior Cunell Burrage (5-9, 155) who has 14 receptions for 388 yards and five touchdowns.
Izreal Harper (5-9, 175) has 19 receptions for 258 yards and a touchdown, Drew Franklin (6-5, 200) has 16 catches for 234 yards and two touchdowns and DeAndre Smith (6-5, 220) has 14 receptions for 232 yards and three touchdowns.
Davenport North is allowing 18.8 points and 319 total yards per game while surrendering 5.8 yards per play.
Kelvin Patterson (5-11, 170) leads the team with 32 tackles including seven for loss while Pena has 31 tackles with five for loss.
West High (3-3) at Cedar Rapids Washington (2-4)

Player to watch: Cedar Rapids Washington junior quarterback Grady McGuire (6-2, 165) has completed 49-of-99 passes while throwing for 653 yards and eight touchdowns and has rushed for a team-high 378 yards and four touchdowns.
Key stat: West High has had more than 400 yards of total offense in three consecutive games and is averaging 419 yards per game during that span.
About the Warriors: Cedar Rapids Washington has gone 2-2 after back-to-back losses to open the season picking up wins over Cedar Rapids Jefferson and Davenport West.
The Warriors are coming off a 27-22 loss to 5-1 Liberty High last Friday.
McGuire leads a Cedar Rapids Washington offense that is averaging 25 points and 291 total yard per game on 5.8 yards per play.
Senior Brock Davis (5-11, 180) has been the top target for McGuire with 21 receptions for 262 yards and four touchdowns while Fidel Tiah (6-0, 165) has nine receptions for 206 yards and two touchdowns.
Davis has also rushed for 237 yards and three touchdowns and Alex Taylor (5-10, 260) has rushed for 199 yards and three touchdowns.
On defense Cedar Rapids Washington is allowing 29.5 points and 330 total yards per game while giving up 6.7 yards per carry.
The Warriors are allowing 160 rushing yards per game and 5 yards per carry.
Senior defensive lineman Wyatt Young (6-2, 225) has been as productive as any defensive player in the state with 41.5 tackles including 10.5 sacks and 14.5 tackles for loss.
Davis has 39 tackles with 4.5 tackles for loss and Taylor has 20 tackles with 9.5 tackles for loss.
About the Trojans: West High snapped a two-game losing skid with a 48-6 win over Cedar Rapids Jefferson last week.
The Trojans are currently 18th in the Class 5A RPI ratings and are right in the mix to return to the 5A playoffs.
West High has been dynamite offensively all season behind senior quarterback Jack Wallace (6-3, 220) who ranks third in the state in both passing yards (1,579) and passing touchdowns (21).
Wallace leads a Trojan offense that is averaging 40 points and 410 total yards per game while averaging 7.1 yards per play.
Senior Mason Woods (6-2, 220) has caught 31 passes for 604 yards and nine touchdowns and junior Julian Manson (6-3, 215) has 28 receptions for 472 yards and seven touchdowns.
Chase Bopp (6-0, 185) has 15 receptions for 189 yards and a touchdown and Henry Elser (6-1, 165) has 15 receptions for 155 yards and two touchdowns.
Senior Butali Butali (5-8, 170) has rushed for a team-high 411 yards and four touchdowns and junior Campbell Janis (5-8, 160) has added 195 rushing yards and a touchdown.
Manson leads the Trojans with 44 tackles while senior linebacker Declan Bunn (5-10, 200) has 39.5 tackles with three for loss.
Junior defensive back Ethan Headings (6-2, 185) has 30.5 tackles.
Ankeny (3-3) at Liberty High (5-1)
Where: Liberty Stadium, 7 p.m.
Last season: Ankeny 40, Liberty High 21
Player to watch: Ankeny senior quarterback Luke Anderson (6-1, 180) has completed 61 percent of his passes (101-of-167) while throwing for 1,262 yards and seven touchdowns with six interceptions and has rushed for 39 yards.
Key stat: Ankeny scored 53 combined points in four games to start the season but has scored 73 combined points in consecutive wins over West High and Cedar Rapids Prairie.
About the Hawks: Ankeny opened the season 1-3 but has put itself in the thick of the Class 5A playoff race with back-to-back wins over West High and Cedar Rapids Prairie that pushed the Hawks to No. 12 in the 5A RPI ratings.
All six of the opponents for Ankeny this season rank in the top 23 in the RPI including five teams currently in the top 18.
Anderson leads an Ankeny offense that is averaging 21 points and 373 yards per game and 6.5 yards per play.
Junior Daniel Larmie (5-9, 185) has rushed for a team-high 544 yards and four touchdowns and has caught six passes for 30 yards.
Junior Andrew Brandhorst (6-1, 205) has caught 25 passes for 443 yards and two touchdowns and senior Evan Irlmeier (5-8, 160) has 40 receptions for 435 yards and four touchdowns.
Ankeny is allowing 24.2 points and 386 total yards per game and has given up 6 yards per play.
The Hawks are allowing teams to rush for 204 yards per game while surrendering 5 yards per carry.
Senior safety Samuel Sandvig (6-2, 185) has a team-high 43 tackles while LaMarious Clark (6-0, 160) has 32.5 tackles with six for loss.
Senior Andrew Haase (6-3, 220) has a team-high nine tackles for loss and seven sacks.
About the Lightning: Liberty High has won three straight games following its only loss of the season in week three at Pleasant Valley.
The Lightning are second in the 5A RPI ratings and have three games remaining all with teams in the top 21 starting on Friday against Ankeny.
Liberty High has been among the best offensive teams in 5A this season averaging 39.2 points and 440 total yards per game while averaging 7.7 yards per play.
Junior quarterback Reece Rettig (5-10, 165) has completed 94-of-130 passes for 1,370 yards and 16 touchdowns with just two interceptions and has rushed for 254 yards and two touchdowns.
Owen Drapeaux (6-1, 210) has rushed for a team-high 574 yards and nine touchdowns and Sutton Koller (5-11, 180) has run for 284 yards and five touchdowns and caught 14 passes for 359 yards and five touchdowns.
Dallas Miller (5-11, 170) leads the Lightning with 39 receptions for 585 yards and five touchdowns and Collin Decker (6-3, 210) has caught 20 passes for 206 yards and a touchdown.
The Liberty High defense is allowing 381 total yards and 32 points per game while giving up 6.4 yards per play.
Landon Bell (6-0, 190) leads Liberty High with 39.5 tackles while Koller has 38.5 tackles including 3.5 for loss and two interceptions.
Ethan Barber (6-0, 230) has six tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks and Mason Waterbury (6-1, 180) has 3.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks.
North Scott (4-2) at Clear Creek Amana (4-2)
Where: Clipper Field, 7:30 p.m.
Last season: North Scott 16, Clear Creek Amana 14
Player to watch: North Scott senior quarterback Chase Smith (5-11, 185) has completed 62 percent of his passes (81-of-131) while throwing for 1,173 yards and 15 touchdowns with one interception and has also rushed for 265 yards and three touchdowns.
Key stat: North Scott is 21-8 over the past three seasons combined with all but one of the losses coming against Western Dubuque and Cedar Rapids Xavier.
About the Clippers: After dropping to 1-2 on the season with back-to-back losses to ranked 3A teams Solon and Williamsburg the Clippers have won three straight games to put themselves in the thick of the 4A playoff race.
Clear Creek Amana is 10th in the Class 4A RPI ratings following consecutive wins over Benton Community, Oskaloosa and Burlington.
The Clippers have outscored opponents by a combined total of 109-23 during its current three-game winning streak.
Junior quarterback Conlan Poynton (5-11, 180) leads a Clipper offense that is averaging 28.5 points and 340 total yards per game this season while averaging 6.2 yards per play.
Poynto has passed for 532 yards and six touchdowns and has rushed for a team-high 673 yards and 13 touchdowns while averaging 5.6 yards per carry.
Junior Ethan Vice (6-0, 170) has rushed for 213 yards and a touchdown and sophomore Noah Collis (5-8, 175) has added 134 yards on the ground.
Senior Owen Rosenberg (6-2, 180) has been the top pass catcher for the Clippers with 23 receptions for 330 yards and two touchdowns.
Tay Seals (5-10, 130) has eight receptions for 165 yards and two touchdowns and senior Cale Nash (5-9, 145) has 19 receptions for 120 yards.
Clear Creek Amana is allowing 274 total yards and 19.2 points per game while giving up 4.8 yards per play.
Trace Robertson (6-0, 170) leads the team with 36.5 tackles including 10.5 for loss and four sacks and Dylan Schrock (5-11, 195) has 36.5 tackles with seven for loss.
About the Lancers: North Scott outscored opponents 114-30 during a 3-0 start to the season but has since lost two of three games following a 28-21 loss to Cedar Rapids Xavier on Friday.
The other loss for the Lancers was a 21-7 setback to Western Dubuque.
North Scott had a string of six consecutive nine-win seasons end last year when the Lancers went 8-3 and advanced to the Class 4A quarterfinals.
Smith leads what has been a balanced and efficient Lancer offense and is averaging 30 points and 352 total yards per game while averaging 7.5 yards per play.
North Scott averages 203 passing yards and 148 rushing yards per game.
Cash Bowe (6-2, 180) has been the top target in the passing game with 33 receptions for 442 yards and six touchdowns.
Senior Carson Lage (6-4, 185) has 25 receptions for 329 yards and six touchdowns and Kye Smith (6-5, 205) has 12 catches for 267 yards and two touchdowns.
Evan Kruse (5-7, 165) has rushed for 311 yards and four touchdowns and Chase Smith (5-11, 185) has run for North Scott has been among the best defensive teams in 4A this season holding opponents to 239 total yards and 13.2 points per game while allowing 4.1 yards per play.
Smith leads the Lancers with 33 tackles while Beau Morgan (5-11, 200) has 22.5 tackles with 5.5 for loss and two sacks.
Solon (5-1) at Williamsburg (5-1)
Where: Bob Murphy Stadium in Williamsburg, 7:30 p.m.
Last season: Solon 21, Williamsburg 14; Williamsburg 45, Solon 14 3A State Semifinal
Player to watch: Williamsburg senior quarterback Grant Hocker (6-5, 185) has completed 67 percent of his passes (87-of-129) while throwing for 1,575 yards and 29 touchdowns with one interception and has also rushed for a touchdown.
Key stat: Williamsburg senior Rayce Heitman (6-2, 185) leads the state in both receiving yards (746) and receiving touchdowns (16) and ranks 12th in the state with 39 receptions.
About the Spartans: Solon had a five-game winning streak snapped with a 21-20 road loss at Benton Community last week and now travels to Williamsburg for a key Class 3A, District 5 matchup.
The Spartans are 1-1 in district play while Williamsburg and Benton Community are each 2-0 in district 5 play.
Solon is averaging 383 total yards and 30.5 points per game and is averaging 6.4 yards per play behind senior quarterback Ty Bell.
Bell (6-1, 195) has completed 67 percent of his passes while throwing for 1,062 yards and nine touchdowns with five interceptions and has rushed for 44 yards and a touchdown.
Maddox Kelley (5-10, 175) has caught 31 passes for 376 yards and four touchdowns and Karsyn Regennitter (5-9, 160) has 22 receptions for 226 yards and two touchdowns.
Eddie Johnson (6-2, 210) has rushed for 704 yards and 10 touchdowns while averaging 7 yards per carry.
Solon is holding opponents to 240 total yards and 9.5 points per game while allowing just 4.3 yards per play.
Kelley leads Solon with 34.5 tackles while Kyler Jensen (6-0, 215) has 31 tackles with six for loss and 1.5 sacks.

About the Raiders: The defending 3A state champion Williamsburg is 29-3 over the past three seasons with one of those losses a 21-14 setback at Solon last season.
The Raiders responded with a 45-14 win over Solon in the most recent meeting between the two WAMAC rivals in the 3A semifinals.
Williamsburg has won four straight since a 29-27 loss to Cedar Rapids Xavier in week two and has outscored opponents 222-52 during its four-game win streak.
Hocker leads the state with 29 touchdowns and ranks fourth in the state with 1,575 yards and directs a Raider offense that is averaging 427 total yards and 50.7 points per game while producing 8.4 yards per play.
Heitman has been the top target in the pass game while senior John Eichhorn (6-4, 195) has caught 23 passes for 428 yards and four touchdowns.
Cael Moore (6-1, 190) has 11 receptions for 259 yards and six touchdowns.
Senior Nile Sinn (5-10, 165) has rushed for 567 yards and five touchdowns and junior Grady Wetjen (6-3, 198) has added 164 rushing yards and four touchdowns.
Heitman leads a Williamsburg defense that is holding opponents to 245 total yards and 15.2 points per game while allowing 5.1 yards per play.
Heitman has 48.5 tackles with 7.5 for loss while Moore has 39 tackles and a team-high nine for loss and four sacks.
No. 2 Regina (6-0) at Dyersville Beckman (4-2)
Where: Dyersville Beckman, 7 p.m.
Last season: Regina 48, Dyersville Beckman 21
Player to watch: Dyersville Beckman senior running back Isaac Burlage (5-11, 170) has rushed for 851 yards and 11 touchdowns while averaging 6.8 yards per carry.
Key stat: Dyersville Beckman is averaging 292 rushing yards per game and 6.9 yards per carry in its four wins and has averaged 153.5 rushing yards a game and 3.7 yards per carry in two losses.
About the Regals: Regina improved to 6-0 and moved to 3-0 in Class 1A, District 5 play with a 28-10 win over West Branch last week.
The Regals close the season with back-to-back games against Beckman (2-1 in district 5 play) and Wilton (3-0 in district 5) that will determine the district winner.
Regina has been solid on both sides of the ball all season.
The Regals are averaging 368 total yards and 33.2 points per game on offense while posting 7.1 yards per play.
Junior quarterback Kyle Tracy (5-10, 175) has completed 68 percent of his passes while throwing for 1,091 yards and 13 touchdowns with two interceptions while rushing for 304 yards and five touchdowns.
Sophomore tight end Tate Wallace (6-2, 225) has caught 27 passes for 434 yards and five touchdowns and senior Will Aitchison (5-10, 180) has caught 12 passes for 222 yards and two touchdowns.
Sophomore Savion Miller (5-11, 180) has rushed for a team-high 516 yards and four touchdowns and has caught 11 passes for 134 yards.
On defense Regina is holding teams to 16.2 points and 205 total yards per game and has held all three district opponents to 14 points or less and fewer than 190 total yards.
Aitchison leads Regina with 32 tackles including two for loss while Spencer Winders (5-10, 170) has 26 tackles.
Leren Fernadez (5-11, 190) has 20 tackles with 4.5 for loss and 2.5 sacks and junior Drew Greve (6-0, 150) has 12 tackles and a team-high three interceptions.
About the Blazers: Beckman has bounced back from back-to-back losses to Alburnett and Wilton with a pair of wins over West Branch and Durant to improve to 2-1 in 1A, District 5 play.
The Blazers won just one game last season and need one more win this season to match their win total from the previous two seasons combined.
Senior quarterback Dylan Recker (5-11, 160) leads a Blazer offense that is averaging 332 total yards and 31.8 points per game.
The Blazers rely heavily on the running game averaging 246 rushing yards per game and 5.9 yards per carry.
Recker has passed for 412 yards and four touchdowns with five interceptions and has rushed for 168 yards and four touchdowns.
Burlage headlines a group of five players that have rushed for at least 100 yards while Mack Wolfe (5-9, 160) has run for 187 yards and three touchdowns and Tanner Ostwinkle (6-2, 190) has 182 yards and two touchdowns.
Ostwinkle has caught nine passes for 163 yards and two touchdowns and Chase White (6-0, 185) has 13 receptions for 151 yards and a touchdown.
Beckman is allowing just 13.8 points and 181 total yards per game while holding teams to 4.2 yards per play.
Cody Hageman (6-0, 180) leads the Blazers with 21.5 tackles including 5.5 for loss while Carter White (6-1, 165) has 14.5 tackles and a team-high 6.5 for loss and 4.5 sacks.
No. 5 Wilton (6-0) at West Branch (2-4)

Player to watch: Wilton senior quarterback Drew Keith (5-11, 185) has completed 67 percent of his passes (82-of-123) while throwing for 1,012 yards and 15 touchdowns with just two interceptions and has rushed for 274 yards and two touchdowns.
Key stat: Wilton is holding opponents to 7.5 points per game and has not allowed more than 14 points in a game this season.
About the Bears: After evening its season record at 2-2 with consecutive wins over Waterloo Columbus and Cascade the Bears have dropped back-to-back district games to Dyersville Beckman and Regina.
West Branch is averaging 19.5 points and 249 total yards per game while averaging 5.2 yards per carry.
Senior quarterback Connor Rios has completed 48 percent of his passes while throwing for 610 yards and three touchdowns with seven interceptions and has rushed for 186 yards and two touchdowns.
Conner Capper has caught 15 passes for 153 yards and Brandon Pedersen has eight receptions for 196 yards and three touchdowns.
Cooper Gates has rushed for a team-high 437 yards and five touchdowns while averaging 6.8 yards per carry.
Defensively West Branch is holding teams to 28.5 points and 293 total yards per game while allowing 5.8 yards per play.
Junior Gates leads West Branch with 38 tackles including 9.5 for loss and seven sacks.

About the Beavers: Wilton is off to a 6-0 start for the second year in a row and has been dominant during its unbeaten start.

Wilton has been equally impressive on offense and defense holding teams to 7.5 points and 215 total yards per game while averaging 33.8 points and 352 yards of total offense per game.
