Baseball Roundup: Solon Uses Big Inning to Down Regina in Non-Conference Contest

Solon remained red hot with a 15-1 win over Regina on Friday in a non-conference contest at the Solon Nature and Recreation area.
The Spartans have now won 10 of their last 11 and four straight and improved to 19-13 on the season with the win.
Regina dropped to 13-9.
Jacob Timmons had a hit and drove in three runs for Solon which broke open a one-run game with 12 runs in the bottom of the third inning.
Tyson Wheeler had a hit and scored two runs, Michael Pipolo had a hit, drove in a run and scored two runs and Logan Gruchow had a hit, scored twice and drove in two runs.
Gehrig Turner had a hit and drove in a run, Brett White had a hit, scored twice and drove in a run and Kinnick Pusteoska drove in a run and scored three runs.
Drew Wilcox earned the win for Solon allowing one run on four hits in a five-inning complete game.
Wilcox struck out four and walked one.
Ethan VonHarz had a double and Jack Tierney had a hit and drove in a run for Regina while Henry Bottorff had a hit and scored a run for the Regals.
