A week after returning to the Associated Press Boys Basketball poll West High is on the move up.

West High jumped three spots to seventh in the most recent Class 4A poll released by the Associated Press on Monday.

The Trojans have won four straight games to improve to 12-2 on the season and join third-ranked Cedar Falls and fourth-ranked Cedar Rapids Kennedy as Mississippi Valley Conference teams in the 4A top-10.

Ames is the top ranked team in Class 4A followed by Pleasant Valley, Cedar Falls, Cedar Rapids Kennedy and Waukee Northwest.

Clear Creek Amana (11-4) is among the team receiving votes in the Class 3A poll.

Other top-ranked teams this week are Fort Madison (3A), Boyden-Hull (2A) and Grand View Christian (1A).
