Baseball Roundup: Liberty High Gets Back on Track With Win Over Marion

A day after being shutout in a nine-inning loss to Davenport Central the Liberty High offense exploded for 19 runs in a 19-6 win over top-ranked Marion on Tuesday in Marion.
Liberty High had 10 hits and scored at least two runs in every inning while improving to 24-12 on the season while Marion dropped to 31-6.
Boyd Skelley earned the win for the Lightning allowing six runs on nine hits while striking out one and walking five in a five-inning complete game.
Luke Meyers went 2-for-3 with a double, three RBI and three runs scored to lead Liberty High.
Brody Fishman had two hits and scored four runs while TJ Kimm had a double and drove in five runs.
Keian Secrist had a hit, scored three runs and drove in three runs, Cody Schroeder had a hit scored twice and drove in two runs and Jack Funke and Hayden Vickroy each had hits, scored runs and drove in a run.
Jack Turgasen had a hit and scored twice for the Lightning.
