Ryan Schott
Regina graduate and current Coe College junior Ryan Schott earned all-American honors on Saturday at the National Wrestling Coaches Association Division III National Championships at Xtream Arena in Coralville.
Schott, who entered the tournament seventh in the NWCA rankings at 184 pounds, placed sixth to earn all-American status in his first season at 184 pounds.
Brylee Klosterman
Liberty High graduate Brylee Klosterman drove in the go-ahead run to lift Iowa to a 2-0 win over Penn State in eight innings on Friday.
The freshman centerfielder went 2-for-3 and drove in the go-ahead run with a single in the top of the eighth inning as Iowa improved to 5-4 on the season and completed a three-game sweep of Penn State in Leesburg, Florida.
Cam Miller
Solon graduate Cam Miller, a freshman quarterback at North Dakota State, accounted for 118 yards of total offense and scored a fourth-quarter touchdown to lift the fifth-rated Bison to a 21-13 win over Illinois State.
Miller completed 5-of-7 passes for 61 yards and rushed for a team-leading 57 yards on 11 carries including a six-yard touchdown run in the first extended action of his career.
