Solon dropped a pair of games on Friday at the Davenport West tournament falling to Class 3A top-ranked Davenport Assumption 8-2 and Davenport West 7-3.

Class 3A fourth-ranked Solon dropped to 11-3 on the season with the two losses. Assumption is 16-1 after picking up two wins Friday while Davenport West moved to 7-5.

Skylar Stookey homered and drove in two runs and Taylor Ryan had a hit and scored a run in the loss to top-ranked Davenport Assumption.

Hilary Wilson had a double for the Spartans while Kayla West took the loss allowing fix runs on six hits in four innings.

Lea Nelson hit three home runs and drove in seven runs to lead the Knights.

Monet Barnhouse went 3-for-4 with a triple and drove in three runs to pace Solon in the loss to Davenport West.

Ryan and Camryn Keith each had two hits and scored a run and Stookey had a hit against the Falcons.

Peyton Sands took the loss allowing seven runs on seven hits in four innings.
