Class 5A No. 10 West High used a big third-quarter to break open a two-point halftime game on its way to a 73-61 win over No. 14 Cedar Rapids Kennedy in a Mississippi Valley Conference Mississippi Division contest in Cedar Rapids.

West High improved to 14-6 on the season while Cedar Rapids Kennedy dropped to 11-9.

Grace Fincham led three West High players in double figures with a game-high 29 points and eight rebounds.

Sasha Baldwin had 19 points and Ava Frese had 10 points, four rebounds and four assists for the Trojans.

Kate Van Waning had five points, eight rebounds and eight assists and Abby Neumiller had five points and four rebounds for West High.

Bentley Dill led Cedar Rapids Kennedy with 25 points and nine rebounds and Alaysia Williams had 12 points for the Cougars.
