Girls Basketball Roundup: Sixth-ranked Cedar Falls Uses Strong Second Half to Down Eighth-ranked City High

Class 5A sixth-ranked Cedar Falls used a strong second half to rally past eighth-ranked City High 59-46 on Friday in a Mississippi Valley Conference Valley Division top-10 showdown in Cedar Falls.
Cedar Falls outscored City High by 17 in the second half to erase a four-point halftime while improving to 9-2 on the season with its fourth consecutive win.
City High had a three-game winning streak snapped with the loss and dropped to 9-3 on the season.
The game was the fifth consecutive game against a ranked opponent for the Little Hawks who finished 3-2 during that stretch.
Tessa Driscoll led City High with 15 points and Eve Vitense added 10 for the Little Hawks.
Hattie Galloway and Thisbe Lewis each had six points and Halle Larew had five for City High.
Karis Finley had a game-high 20 points to lead Cedar Falls while Jordann Oakland had 14 points and Taylor Vore had 12 for the Tigers.
