Regina and Solon Appear in First IHSAA Boys Basketball Rankings

Solon and Regina each appeared in the first boys basketball rankings of the season released on Thursday by the Iowa High School Athletic Association.
Regina is fourth in the initial Class 2A rankings after opening the season 5-1.
The Regals trail top-ranked Unity Christian, second-ranked Carroll Kuemper and third-ranked Treynor in the 2A rankings.
Solon is seventh in the Class 3A rankings following a 7-0 start to the season.
Ballard is the top ranked team in Class 3A followed by Cedar Rapids Xavier, Clear Lake, Storm Lake and Pella.
Other top-ranked teams in the rankings include Waukee Northwest in Class 4A and Fort Dodge St. Edmond in Class 1A.
