Girls Basketball Roundup: 5A Ninth-ranked City High Continues Stellar Start With Win at 3A Top-ranked Maquoketa

Few teams in the state can tout a better pre-Thanksgiving resume than City High.
Class 5A ninth-ranked City High continued its impressive start to the season with a second consecutive road win over a top-10 ranked team in a span of four days on Tuesday with a 36-34 win over Class 3A top-ranked Maquoketa in a non-conference contest in Maquoketa.
City High improved to 2-0 on the season with the win that comes after a win at 4A sixth-ranked Central DeWitt on Saturday.
Tessa Driscoll led City High with a game-high 11 points while Kaitlin Loria added 10 points for the Little Hawks.
Thisbe Lewis had seven points and Hattie Galloway had six points for the Little Hawks.
Cora Widel led Maquoketa (1-1) with 10 points and teammate Aubrey Kroymann added nine for the Cardinals.
