Liam Becher
West High graduate and current North Dakota junior offensive lineman Liam Becher was named the Missouri Valley Football Conference Offensive Lineman of the Week last Monday following a 38-19 win over No. 12 Southern Illinois.
Becher, a 6-foot-7, 320-pound left guard, helped pave the way for North Dakota to pile up 311 rushing yards and four touchdowns on the ground in the win at Southern Illinois.
Behind Becher and the offensive line North Dakota averaged 6.2 yards per carry in the win as Becher graded out at 90 percent in the win.
North Dakota improved to 6-2 on the season has won five games in a row following a 46-17 win over Indiana State on Saturday.
The Fighting Hawks are averaging 40 points, 431 total yards and 222.9 rushing yards per game.
Cassidy Hartman
Former Liberty High standout and current Northern Iowa junior Cassidy Hartman had 14 kills, 10 digs and a season-high three ace serves in a sweep of Indiana State on Saturday in Cedar Falls.
Hartman had 12 kills and nine digs in a sweep of Illinois State on Friday and has had double digit kills in eight consecutive matches.
The 6-foot Hartman has helped the Panthers post 13 consecutive wins to improve to 17-5 on the season, posting 10 or more kills 11 times during the 13-match winning streak.
On the season Hartman has a team-high 288 kills on .208 hitting and ranks second on the team with 216 digs and fourth with 36 blocks.
Andy Henson
West Branch graduate and current University of Sioux Falls sophomore linebacker Andy Henson had five tackles in a 24-17 win over Minot State on Saturday in Minot, North Dakota.
The 6-foot-2, 240-pound Henson had a pair of solo stops among his three tackles helping the Cougars improve to 5-3 on the season with the win.
On the season Henson ranks fourth on the team with 24 tackles in seven games including 14 solo stops and half a tackle for loss.
Henson also has a pair of quarterback hurries and has blocked a kick.
