Solon qualified for the state meet with a runner-up finish at the Class 3A state qualifying meet at Hart Ridge Golf Course in Manchester on Wednesday.

No. 10 Solon had four runners finish in the top 15 on its way to a runner-up finish with 67 points.

Third-ranked Mount Vernon/Lisbon won the team title with 43 points followed by Solon while No. 12 Dubuque Wahlert was third with 104 points.

Falyn Svalstad finished eighth in a time of 19:38.2 to lead four Solon runners that finished in the top 15.

Sophomore Addison Seamans placed ninth in a time of 19:38.38 and sophomore Liv Nelson finished 13^th in 19:56.8.

Freshman Mailee Schmidt finished 14^th in 20:00.34 for the Spartans while sophomore Quinn Armentrout was 28^th in 21:09.18.
