Player to watch: Cedar Rapids Prairie senior David Fason (6-2, 250) has caught 25 passes for 409 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 186 yards and three touchdowns on offense and on defense leads the Hawks with 46. Tackles, 25.5 tackles for loss, eight sacks and five forced fumbles.
Key stat: Cedar Rapids Prairie is minus 10 in turnover differential this season committing 19 turnovers on offense and forcing nine turnovers on defense.
About the Trojans: West High scored 60 or more points in a win for the second week in a row last Thursday following up a 69-7 home win over Muscatine with a 63-7 win at Davenport Central.
The Trojans are ninth in the Class 5A Ratings Percentage Index (RPI) standings used to determine the 16 playoff qualifiers in 5A.
Junior quarterback Reece Wheeler leads a prolific West High offense that has scored at least 30 points in every game this season.
The Trojans are averaging 46 points and 409 total yards per game while producing 8.3 yards per play.
Wheeler has completed 60 percent of his passes while throwing for 1,454 yards and 15 touchdowns with one interception and has rushed for 139 yards and three touchdowns.
Senior Campbell Janis leads West High with 720 rushing yards and nine touchdowns and junior Mikey Moody has rushed for 184 yards and five touchdowns.
Ethan Headings has been the top receiver with 33 receptions for 934 yards and 11 touchdowns and Julian Manson has caught 16 passes for 278 yards and four touchdowns.
Manson leads a West High defense that is allowing 15.6 points and 262 total yards per game while giving up 4.8 yards per play.
Manson has a team-high 38.5 tackles with four for loss while senior defensive end Jackson Law has 35.5 tackles with a team-high 8.5 for loss and 5.5 sacks.
Janis has 30.5 tackles and Headings has 23 tackles with five for loss.
About the Hawks: Cedar Rapids Prairie is currently No. 13 in the Class 5A RPI standings and in the thick of the 5A postseason race.
The Hawks had a two-game winning streak halted last week with a 20-17 loss at Cedar Falls in a game in which Cedar Rapids Prairie held a 363-137 edge in total yards but committed five turnovers.
Junior quarterback Cael Kongshaug (6-3, 215) leads a Cedar Rapids Prairie offense that is averaging 32.3 points and 401 total yards per game while producing 7.8 yards per play.
Kongshaug has completed 92-of-132 passes for 1,387 yards and seven touchdowns with six interceptions.
Fason headlines a talented receiving trio for the Hawks that also includes juniors Drew Bennis (5-10, 165) and Tae Alexander (6-3, 175).
Bennis has 21 receptions for 389 yards and two touchdowns and Alexander has 12 receptions for 249 yards and three touchdowns.
Junior running back Dawson Kahl (6-1, 200) has rushed for 642 yards and seven touchdowns and senior BJay Bush (5-8, 185) has rushed for 286 yards and four touchdowns.
On defense Cedar Rapids Prairie is holding opponents to 19 points and 283 total yards per game while allowing 5.4 yards per play.
Junior Wesley Koppes (5-11, 190) has 45 tackles with 13 for loss and two interceptions and junior Carsyn Hand (5-11, 210) has 30 tackles with 15 for loss and four sacks.
City High (1-6) at Liberty High (6-1)
Where: Liberty Stadium, 7 p.m.
Last season: Liberty High 49, City High 20
Player to watch: Liberty High senior Reece Rettig has completed 72 percent of his passes while throwing for 1,282 yards and 12 touchdowns and has rushed for 638 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Key stat: Liberty High has averaged 42 points per game in three consecutive wins over City High the past three seasons.
About the Lightning: Liberty High has won three consecutive games following a week-four loss at Johnston after downing Pleasant Valley 28-14 on Friday.
The Lightning are currently sixth in the Class 5A RPI standings.
Liberty High is averaging 33.3 points and 395 total yards per game while posting 6.4 yards per play on offense.
Rettig leads the Lightning attack while junior Brody Beaver has rushed for 348 yards and five touchdowns and senior Logan Laubenthal has rushed for 198 yards and a touchdown.
Junior Leo Rozz has a team-high 27 receptions for 275 yards and three touchdowns and Pryor Reiners has caught 24 passes for 264 yards and two touchdowns.
Jordan Schroeder has 16 receptions for 216 yards and four touchdowns and junior Adrian Clerry has 16 receptions for 173 yards and two touchdowns.
On defense the Lightning are holding opponents to 17.1 points and 245 total yards per game while allowing 5.9 yards per play.
Senior linebacker Landon Bell leads the Lightning with 32.5 tackles including 11 for loss and 4.5 sacks and Schroeder has 21.5 tackles.
Sophomore Cooper Lester has 20 tackles with 2.5 for loss and junior Eric Strunk has 16 tackles with three tackles for loss and two sacks.
About the Little Hawks: City High snapped a six-game losing skid to open the season with a 59-14 win at Des Moines East last Friday in which the Little Hawks posted season-highs in points, passing yards (323), total yards (492) and yards per play (7.9).
The Little Hawks have faced a challenging schedule with their six losses coming to teams with a combined 30-12 record, five of which are ranked in the top 15 in the Class 5A RPI standings.
City High is averaging 18 points and 309 total yards per game while posting 5.2 yards per play on offense.
Sophomore quarterback Chris Kabaiza has completed 80-of-128 passes for 851 yards and eight touchdowns with 10 interceptions and has rushed for 139 yards and a touchdown.
Senior Dominic Roe has rushed for a team-high 298 yards and a touchdown and senior Jack Lampe has rushed for 179 yards and two touchdowns.
Sophomore Chayse Newton has caught 48 passes for 508 yards and two touchdowns and senior Chris Santarrelli has 13 receptions for 133 yards and two touchdowns.
On defense City High is allowing 35.7 points and 354 total yards per game while surrendering 6.5 yards per play.
Sophomore linebacker Marshall Sheldon leads the team with 59.5 tackles including 12 for loss and senior linebacker Blaine Heick has 57 tackles with eight for loss and two sacks.
Senior Raphael Etuma has a team-high 12.5 tackles for loss and two sacks.
Solon (7-0) at Mount Pleasant (6-1)

Player to watch: Mount Pleasant junior quarterback Grayson Walker (5-11, 155) has completed 56-of-91 passes for 787 yards and nine touchdowns with one interception and has rushed for 95 yards.
Key stat: Solon has outscored opponents 128-0 in the first half of three district games.
About the Spartans: Solon is one of three remaining unbeaten teams in Class 3A and can clinch the District 4 title with a win at Mount Pleasant on Friday.
The Spartans have outscored district opponents 177-6 after posting a 42-0 win over Washington last week.
Solon is averaging 44.1 points and 322 total yards per game while producing 7.3 yards per play.
Senior quarterback Eli Kampman has completed 85-of-125 passes for 1,307 yards and 17 touchdowns with three interceptions and has rushed for 294 yards and four touchdowns.
Kaden Hoeper has caught 23 passes for 411 yards and five touchdowns and Cody Milliman has 24 receptions for 326 yards and two touchdowns.
On defense Solon is holding opponents to 10.6 points and 200 total yards per game while allowing 4.1 yards per play.
Senior linebacker Kyler Jensen leads Solon with 50.5 tackles including eight for loss and junior James Thomsen has 24 tackles with 8.5 for loss and 4.5 sacks.
Solon has forced 22 turnovers through seven games with senior Ethan Ulch leading the team with three interceptions.
About the Panthers: Mount Pleasant has won three consecutive games over District 4 opponents following a 49-27 loss to Central DeWitt in its week-four non-district finale.
Last week the Panthers led 23-14 at the half and held on for a 35-34 win at Keokuk to improve to 3-0 in district play.
Junior quarterback Grayson Walker leads a Mount Pleasant offense averaging 37.1 points and 305 total yards per game on 5.8 yards per play.
Mount Pleasant is averaging 185 rushing yards per game led by senior Ramzy Davis (5-11, 190) who has rushed for 590 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Sophomore Ryan Helling (5-11, 195) has rushed for 308 yards and three touchdowns and sophomore Griffen Jones (5-9, 170) has rushed for 252 yards and seven touchdowns.
Kaden Schadt (6-2, 190) has been the top pass catcher with 12 receptions for 221 yards and a touchdown and Brody Clark (6-1, 185) has caught 19 passes for 212 yards and three touchdowns.
The Mount Pleasant defense is allowing 20.7 points and 228 total yards per game while allowing 5.2 yards per play.
Senior Max Sloat (5-10, 200) has a team-high 35 tackles and sophomore Isaiah Lange (6-3, 200) leads the Panthers with 15.5 tackles for loss and 11.5 sacks among his 27.5 tackles.
Mount Pleasant has forced 16 turnovers including 10 interceptions as Jack Newman (5-11, 170) and Lathan Novak-Watson (6-1, 170) each have three interceptions.
Clear Creek Amana (3-4) at Pella (6-1)
Where: Pella High School Stadium, 7 p.m.
Last season: Pella 34, Clear Creek Amana 7 (Class 4A opening round)
Player to watch: Pella senior Emmanuel Diers (5-9, 180) has rushed for a team-high 741 yards and six touchdowns and leads the Dutch with 26 receptions for 318 yards and four touchdowns.
Key stat: Pella is 17-3 dating back to last season and has allowed 14.5 points per game during that stretch.
About the Dutch: Defending 4A runner-up Pella is sixth in the Class 4A RPI standings but currently sits third in the 4A, District 4 standings behind Grinnell and Newton which are both 3-0 in District 4 play.
Pella won five in a row to open the season, including a 19-15 win over defending state champion North Polk before a 35-33 loss to Newton in week six.
The Dutch rebounded with a 35-0 road win at Oskaloosa last week.
Pella has been among the best defensive teams in Class 4A this season allowing seven points or fewer in five of seven games this season.
The Dutch are allowing just 9 points and 154 total yards per game while holding opponents to 3.4 yards per play.
Junior Kyler VanMaanen (6-3, 220) leads Pella with 48.5 tackles including 13 for loss while senior Nate Warner (6-2, 205) has 35 tackles with five for loss.
Junior Gage Branderhorst (6-0, 180) has 28 tackles with seven for loss and senior Ty VanVliet (5-8, 180) has 22 tackles with eight for loss while senior Rex Rhamy (6-0, 170) has a team-high five interceptions.
Pella has been efficient on offense averaging 25.9 points and 324 total yards per game while posting 6.1 yards per play.
Senior quarterback Michael Manning (6-0, 175) has completed 64 percent of his passes while throwing for 953 yards and 11 touchdowns with four interceptions and has rushed for 202 yards and a touchdown.
Diers has been the top rushing and receiving threat while senior Blake DeHeus (6-0, 155) has 23 receptions for 159 yards and a touchdown and Harrison Mullens (6-2, 170) has 17 receptions for 225 yards and four touchdowns.
About the Clippers: Clear Creek Amana has lost four of its last five games following back-to-back wins to open the season after a 31-19 loss to Newton last week.
The previous three loss for the Clippers have come by a combined total of 18 points including three-point losses to North Scott and Grinnell.
Clear Creek Amana is averaging 34.9 points and 315 total yards per game while averaging 6.2 yards per play.
Sophomore quarterback Texton Bollers made his first career start against Newton and has completed 21-of-39 passes for 312 yards and two touchdowns on the season while rushing for 147 yards and two touchdowns.
Senior Aren Schlemme has caught 12 passes for 363 yards and five touchdowns and junior Tay Seals has 26 receptions for 331 yards and three touchdowns.
Nick Daniel has 13 receptions for 228 yards and a touchdown.
On defense Clear Creek Amana is allowing 282 total yards and 23.7 points per game while giving up 5.1 yards per play.
Aidan Schrock has a team-leading 49.5 tackles with 3.5 tackles for loss and a sack while sophomore Nolan Dao has 24 tackles.
Junior Ian Kelley has 22.5 tackles with four for loss and two sacks and Dylan Schrock has 3.5 sacks.
Louisa-Muscatine (0-7) at No. 3 Regina (7-0)
Where: Regal Field, 7 p.m.
Last season: Did not play.
Player to watch: Louisa-Muscatine junior Gaije Carter (X) has rushed for 518 yards and three touchdowns while averaging 6.1 yards per carry and has passed for 158 yards and a touchdown with five interceptions.
Key stat: Regina is averaging 10.2 yards per play in four district wins.
About the Falcons: Louisa-Muscatine dropped to 0-7 on the season with a 26-14 home loss to Cardinal last Friday.
The Falcons average 6.3 points and 164 total yards per game on offense while posting 3.7 yards per play.
Carter is the leader of the Falcon offense while freshman Walker Riggan (5-8, 145) has completed 20-of-44 passes for 176 yards.
Sedric Lamb (5-7, 150) has rushed for 107 yards and a touchdown and Jaxson Wedekind (5-10, 160) has rushed for 85 yards and caught five passes for 79 yards.
Sophomore Owen Pugh (6-4, 155) is the top target in the passing game with 10 receptions for 145 yards and a touchdown and Kaden Ziegenhorn (6-3, 170) has 10 receptions for 41 yards.
Louisa-Muscatine is allowing 47.4 points and 358 total yards per game on defense while surrendering 9.2 yards per play.
Sophomore Eddie Hoopes (5-9, 160) has a team-leading 38.5 tackles including 4.5 for loss and Brody Runnells has 26 tackles.
Pugh has 22 tackles and averages 16.8 yards per kick return and has returned a kick 88 yards for a touchdown.
About the Regals: Entering the final week of the regular season Regina has already secured the Class 1A, District 6 title following a 49-8 win at Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont last Friday.
Regina has outscored opponents 195-27 in four district wins and has not allowed a point in the first three quarters of any district game.
Senior quarterback Kyle Tracy leads a Regina offense that is averaging 46.3 points and 357 total yards per game while averaging 8.6 yards per play.
Tracy has completed 70-of-90 passes for 1,260 yards and 19 touchdowns with three interceptions and has rushed for 205 yards and four touchdowns.
Junior Savion Miller has rushed for 470 yards and nine touchdowns and has caught six passes for 191 yards and six touchdowns.
Tate Wallace has a team-high 25 receptions for 302 yards and four touchdowns and Drew Greve has caught 15 passes for 270 yards and two touchdowns.
The Regina defense is holding opponents to 12.9 points and 187 total yards per game while allowing 4.1 yards per play.
Luke Hamilton leads Regina with 28.5 tackles including four for loss and Wallace has 27.5 tackles with eight tackles for loss and three sacks.
James Whisler has 23 tackles with 3.5 for loss and Edwin Gangba has 20.5 tackles with two for loss.
Greve has a team-high five interceptions helping Regina force 15 turnovers.
No. 10 West Branch (5-2) at No. 4 Bellevue (7-0)
Where: C.C. Hammann Field, 7 p.m.

Player to watch: Bellevue senior Keenan Kilburg (6-0, 165) has caught 74 passes for 1,232 yards and 13 touchdowns and has rushed for 168 yards and a touchdown.
Key stat: Bellevue senior quarterback Cal Bonifas leads the state with 2,194 passing yards and Kilburg has a state-best 1,232 receiving yards.
About the Comets: Bellevue is one of only five remaining unbeaten teams in Class 2A after 38-8 win over Tipton last week.
The Comets have the most prolific passing attack in the state ranking first in the state in completions (160) and passing yards (2,194) and second in pass attempts (228).
Bellevue is averaging 37.1 points and 427 total yards per game while posting 7.6 yards per play.
Senior quarterback Cal Bonifas (6-3, 185) has completed 70 percent of his passes while throwing for 2,194 yards and 23 touchdowns with eight interceptions and has rushed for two touchdowns.
Kilburg is the top target but four other Comets have over 140 yards receiving and a touchdown.
Gavin Guilliams (5-8, 165) has caught 30 passes for 314 yards and five touchdowns, junior Jack Kirk (6-3, 205) has 25 receptions for 294 yards and two touchdowns and Louis Gonner (5-6, 150) has 19 receptions for 163 yards and two touchdowns.
Sophomore Charlie Hurley (6-0, 170) has rushed for a team-high 253 yards and three touchdowns and sophomore Eli Laban (5-10, 155) has added 247 rushing yards and four touchdowns.
Defensively Bellevue is allowing 20.4 points and 300 total yards per game while giving up 5.4 yards per play.
Senior Seth Smith (6-0, 175) has a team-high 51 tackles with 13.5 for loss and four sacks and senior KeShawn DeShaw (6-5, 220) has 27 tackles with 6.5 for loss and 5.5 sacks.
Kinnick Paulsen (6-2, 195) has seven tackles for loss and five sacks and Dylan Portz (5-9, 160) has six tackles for loss and five sacks.
About the Bears: West Branch enters the final week of the regular season needing a win over Bellevue to claim the Class 2A, District 5 title.
With a win on Friday the Bears create a three-way tie atop the District 5 standings with Bellevue and Alburnett and would win the district title via tie breaker.
West Branch has posted back-to-back wins over Tipton (43-16) and Anamosa (23-3) following a 20-17 loss at Alburnett in week five.
The Bears are averaging 34 points and 308 total yards per game on offense while producing 6.8 yards per play.
Senior quarterback Brennen Dale has completed 40-of-82 passes for 500 yards and six touchdowns with four interceptions and has rushed for 265 yards and four touchdowns.
Junior Keaton Gates has rushed for 912 yards and 11 touchdowns while averaging 8.1 yards per carry and senior Cooper Gates has rushed for 374 yards and eight touchdowns.
Brandon Pedersen has a team-high 17 receptions for 218 yards and a touchdown and Conner Capper has eight receptions for 74 yards and two touchdowns.
Senior Nolan Staker has seven receptions for 151 yards and three touchdowns.
The West Branch defense is holding opponents to 247 total yards an14.6 points per game while allowing 5 yards per play.
Capper leads the Bears with 38 tackles with 5.5 for loss and Cooper Gates has 36 tackles with 10 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks.
Lincoln Naber has 29.5 tackles with 6.5 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks and senior Griffin Seydel has five interceptions as West Branch has 13 interceptions as a team.
